From 5 au 7 march 2025 to RIMINI, Italy
KEY – The Energy Transition Expo is the European event dedicated to technologies, services, integrated solutions for energy efficiency and renewable energies in Italy and the Mediterranean basin. A place to highlight the acceleration of energy and climate policies and the opportunities opening up in the market,
With over 90,000 square metres of gross exhibition space, the new layout of KEY includes for the first time the opening of the West Entrance in addition to the South and East Entrances. Also reorganised is the layout of the halls, 20 in total as opposed to 16 in the 2024 edition, equally distributed along the East and West wings of the exhibition centre. The seven product sectors, reserved for solar and photovoltaics, wind energy, hydrogen, energy storage, energy efficiency, electric mobility and sustainable cities, are all confirmed, flanked by special areas dedicated to transversal projects, networking, innovation and training.
The new layout aims to trace a defined exhibition route through the seven thematic areas, which are clearly delineated but at the same time interconnected, in order to maximise synergies and enhance the visitor experience. In addition, the variety of sectors represented at KEY will make it possible to create specific routes with customised insights. Among the new features of the layout are the expansion of the area reserved for hydrogen, a thematic focus on ports and a pavilion dedicated to the Innovation District:
- HYPE – Hydrogen Power Expo supported by Hydrogen & Fuel Cells: an actual exhibition organised by the Italian Exhibition Group and Hannover Fairs International GmbH (HFI), the Italian branch of Deutsche Messe AG, where the topic of hydrogen and its importance for the energy transition will be explored in depth.
- Su.port – Sustainable Ports for Energy Transition: an exhibition focus that will be inaugurated at KEY 2025, dedicated to the electrification of port docks, fundamental for reducing emissions, promoting sustainability in ports and accelerating the development of off-shore wind energy, in particular floating solutions, i.e. floating wind farms.
- Innovation District – An open innovation project: a place dedicated to technological innovations, services and integrated solutions for energy efficiency and renewable energies. An open innovation path between the companies present at the event and start-ups in order to develop connections and synergies that can foster product and/or service innovation.
- Enhancing green talent and skills: for the first time, KEY will host the Green Jobs & Skill initiative, to facilitate the matching of labour demand and supply, with the aim of helping to bridge the green skills gap still widespread within companies. The project is a valuable training and career guidance opportunity for students and young workers, but also an opportunity for companies to meet potential candidates and intercept the most promising talents.
A rich and international events programme
The schedule of meetings defined by KEY´s Technical Scientific Committee will also be full of international events, confirming itself as a unique opportunity for training, information and professional updating, even on topics not yet addressed by the event, such as nuclear power and Artificial Intelligence. They will range from solar energy to Renewable Energy Communities, from green residential and industrial redevelopment to electric mobility, from hydrogen to the role of local administrations, passing through reflections on energy cost containment, regulatory aspects and new financial opportunities.
KEY 2025 will consolidate its role as a reference network at global level, capable of bringing together all the players involved in the energy transition, favouring meetings, confrontation and dialogue with the institutions, with the aim of creating a system and contributing to accelerating the decarbonisation process.
